12-volt auxiliary battery

The ordinary 12-volt battery that wakes the car, runs the low-voltage electronics and allows the high-voltage system to be switched on.

How you know it is this

  • An EV that is completely dead with a charged traction battery
  • Multiple unrelated warning lights
  • A car that will not wake or will not unlock
  • A battery that flattens after a few days standing

Worth knowing before you buy

  • AN EV WITH A FULL PACK AND A FLAT 12-VOLT BATTERY WILL NOT MOVE. The 12-volt system is what closes the contactors, so without it nothing happens at all.
  • IT IS THE CHEAPEST PART IN THIS WHOLE SYSTEM and it causes the most alarming symptoms. Always the first thing to test on any strange EV electrical fault.
  • Heat kills batteries here, and the fact that the car is electric does not change that.
  • Usually needs registering to the car after replacement.

What we need to quote it. The chassis number. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
