Charging port / socket assembly

The socket the cable plugs into, with its contacts, temperature sensors and lock.

How you know it is this

  • Charging that will not start, or stops early
  • Visible burning, discolouration or melting at the contacts
  • A cable that will not lock or will not release
  • A charging temperature fault

Worth knowing before you buy

  • MELTED OR DISCOLOURED CONTACTS MEAN STOP USING IT. A poor connection heats up under load, and it gets worse each time.
  • Contains temperature sensors that cut charging back if it gets hot — so a sensor fault presents as slow charging rather than as a warning.
  • Dust and sand in the socket are a real local cause of poor contact. Keep the flap shut and the cap on.
  • Usually replaced as a complete assembly.

What we need to quote it. The chassis number, and photographs of the socket contacts. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
