Charge port lock motor

The small motor that locks the cable into the socket while charging.

How you know it is this

  • A cable trapped in the car
  • A cable that will not lock, so charging will not start
  • A charging lock fault

Worth knowing before you buy

  • Charging will not begin at all if the cable cannot be locked — so a small motor stops the car being used.
  • There is a manual emergency release, usually in the boot. Worth locating before you need it.
  • Cheap relative to the socket assembly, but often only available as part of it.

What we need to quote it. The chassis number. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
