Also called DPF pressure sensor, differential pressure sensor.
How you know it is this
- A DPF warning with a filter that is not actually blocked
- Regenerations happening far too often, or never at all
- A pressure sensor fault code
Worth knowing before you buy
- Cheap, and it causes the symptoms of a blocked filter. Always ruled out before buying a DPF.
- The small pipes running from the sensor to the exhaust block with soot. Clearing them sometimes fixes it with no part at all.
- A sensor reading wrongly can stop regenerations entirely, which then genuinely blocks the filter — a cheap fault that creates an expensive one.
What we need to quote it. The engine code and the fault codes. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
