How you know it is this
- A low coolant warning
- Coolant on the ground
- A cracked or brittle tank
- Air in a circuit causing a thermal fault
Worth knowing before you buy
- AN EV USUALLY HAS MORE THAN ONE COOLANT CIRCUIT, at different temperatures, and they are not interchangeable. Topping up the wrong one is a real mistake.
- The battery circuit uses a specific low-conductivity coolant. Ordinary coolant in it is a safety problem.
- Plastic tanks go brittle in this heat exactly as they do on a combustion car.
- Bleeding these circuits properly needs a diagnostic tool to run the pumps.
What we need to quote it. The chassis number, and which circuit. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
