How you know it is this
- Squealing or grinding when braking
- A brake pad warning on the dash
- A pulsing pedal
- A lip you can feel at the edge of the disc
Worth knowing before you buy
- Discs and pads are done together. New pads on a ridged old disc never bed in properly and the noise usually comes back.
- The wear sensor is consumed with the pads and the warning will not clear without a new one — it is included here for exactly that reason.
- One axle at a time. Fronts and rears wear at very different rates and rarely fall due together.
- Confirm whether the car is on standard or AMG/sports brakes. The disc diameter changes with the package and so does the price.
What we need to quote it. The chassis number, front or rear, and whether the car has the sports or AMG brake package. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
