Accelerator pedal module

The pedal and its position sensors. On an EV it controls both acceleration and, on lift-off, how hard the car regenerates.

How you know it is this

  • Hesitation or no response to the pedal
  • Limp mode with a pedal position fault
  • Inconsistent response between presses

Worth knowing before you buy

  • Two independent sensor circuits, deliberately, so the car can tell when one is lying. A single-circuit failure is what causes limp mode.
  • Cheap relative to everything else in this system and a low-voltage part — a straightforward job.
  • Usually needs adaptation after fitting.
  • Check the connector first; it is in the footwell where spills and moisture reach it.

What we need to quote it. The chassis number and the fault codes. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
