Also called wheel speed sensor, ABS sensor.
How you know it is this
- ABS and ESP warning lights together, often with the speedometer dropping out
- ABS cutting in at low speed on a dry road for no reason
- A fault that names one corner of the car
Worth knowing before you buy
- Usually one wheel at a time, and the diagnostic code names which.
- Often the wiring or the plug rather than the sensor itself — the loom flexes with the suspension and chafes.
- The toothed ring the sensor reads can rust and break up. Replacing the sensor alone will not fix that.
- Cheap part, and the fault codes make it one of the more certain diagnoses on a car.
What we need to quote it. Which corner of the car, and the fault code if you have it read. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
Rest of the abs, esp and electronics
