How you know it is this
- An AdBlue system fault with a countdown of remaining starts
- A pump that is audibly not priming
- A pressure build-up fault
Worth knowing before you buy
- Once the countdown reaches zero the car will not restart. That is designed behaviour, not a breakdown, but it strands the car all the same.
- Crystallised AdBlue inside the pump is the usual failure and is caused by the system standing unused.
- Often available as a complete module including the pump and level sensor, which is the sensible way to buy it.
What we need to quote it. The chassis number and the fault codes. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
