How you know it is this
- A dosing fault code
- White crystalline deposits around the injector on the exhaust
- An SCR efficiency fault that is really a dosing problem
Worth knowing before you buy
- Crystallisation at the tip is the standard failure. It blocks, the dose fails, and the car reports an SCR fault that looks far more expensive.
- Far cheaper than the SCR catalyst it protects. Always ruled out first.
- It is cooled by coolant on many installations, so its coolant lines are part of the job.
What we need to quote it. The engine code and the fault codes. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
