Charge air cooler

The intercooler, seen from the cooling system's side — the exchanger that drops the temperature of the air leaving the turbo.

Also called intercooler, CAC.

Worth knowing before you buy

  • Air-to-air coolers sit at the front with the radiator; water-to-air coolers sit on the engine and share the coolant circuit. They are different parts in different places.
  • Oil found inside means the turbo seals are passing, and fitting a new turbo without cleaning this out will ruin it.
  • Front-mounted units are damaged by stones as often as they fail.

What we need to quote it. The engine code. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
