What this is

Brand: Prestone

Pack
Case of 12

Taken from the product’s own name, converted where the unit differs, and from the standard where the range cites one. Tell us the application and we will confirm the exact item before you order.

Specification

What it is
Hydraulic fluids — DOT 3 and DOT 4 brake fluid, and power steering fluid.
Where it goes
Brake and power steering reservoirs
When you need it
Fluid low, spongy pedal, or a scheduled fluid change
How to choose
Brake fluid is a safety specification with a number attached, and the number is a boiling point. DOT 3 — The standard glycol fluid for most ordinary road cars. DOT 4 — A higher boiling point than DOT 3. Specified where brakes run hotter — heavier vehicles, hills, towing. Power steering fluid — A hydraulic oil for the steering rack and pump. It is not brake fluid and the two are never interchangeable.
Where it is the wrong choice
Topping a DOT 4 system up with DOT 3 mixes safely but lowers the boiling point of the whole system. Go up a grade if you must move, never down.
Brands
Prestone, STP and ENOC.
Genuine stock
Genuine stock, held at our own warehouse rather than drop-shipped. What you order is what is on the shelf, and batch and shelf life are confirmed on request.
Who buys it
Workshops, fleet maintenance and service centres.
Storage
Cool and out of the sun. A UAE store room in August will take months off the shelf life of anything on this list.
Delivery
All 7 Emirates from our own yard. Sharjah and the northern emirates are usually same day on stocked lines; the rest of the country is one to three working days.
Trade and volume
Volume pricing above trade quantities for car wash operators, workshops, fleets and retailers. Send the whole list rather than one line and we will price the package instead of the item.
