Lighting is priced on the quantity. A relamp of two hundred fittings does not carry the same rate as a single lamp, so the figure is set against your schedule rather than a shelf price. Send the wattages and the quantities and a written quotation comes back the same working day, with bulk pricing applied.

- What it is
- A lamp with a built-in reflector or lens that concentrates the output into a beam. The beam angle, not the wattage, decides whether it lights a picture or a corridor.
- Who buys it
- Retail and showrooms, hospitality, reception areas, and anyone with existing track, recessed or capsule fittings to relamp.
- Made of
- LED versions: chips on a board behind a reflector or lens, in an aluminium body. Halogen versions: a tungsten filament in a quartz capsule with a dichroic reflector.
- How it works
- The reflector gathers light that would otherwise spill sideways and sends it forward. A narrow beam looks brighter than a wide one at the same wattage simply because the same light lands on less area.
- Bases
- MR16, GU10, G9, PAR and Decostar all appear here. MR16 usually runs on 12 volts through a transformer and GU10 runs on mains; the lamps look alike and are not interchangeable.
- Where it is the wrong choice
- A spot is not general lighting. A room lit only by narrow-beam spots has bright pools and dark gaps, and no amount of extra wattage fixes it - that needs a wider beam or a different fitting. Check the base and the voltage before ordering.

The delivery charge depends on the emirate, the load and the offloading, and is confirmed in writing on the quotation rather than guessed at here.
