What it is
Single-section and extension ladders in extruded aluminium, for site access and for reaching a scaffold lift.
Material
Aluminium alloy 6063-T5 / 6061-T6
Standards
EN 131-1 · EN 131-2, professional class, 150 kg maximum total load (climber, tools and materials together). Professional and non-professional are two test regimes, not a label: the strength test is 2,700 N against 2,250 N, and the durability test is 50,000 load cycles against 10,000.
Rung
D-section, ribbed and swaged into the stile
Rung spacing
280 – 300 mm centres. EN 131-1 requires the rungs to be equally spaced to within ±2 mm — a climber coming down finds an irregular rung with a boot, not with the eye.
Feet and stability
Non-slip end caps. EN 131-1 requires a widened stand — a cross-beam at the foot, up to 1,200 mm across — on any ladder used leaning that is longer than 3,000 mm extended, so it is included on the 4, 5 and 6 m sections rather than offered as an extra.
