- What it is
- A prefabricated catering unit built for cooking at volume, with the extract, drainage and finishes a working kitchen needs.
- Who buys it
- Labour camps, remote sites, catering contractors, and events running hot food.
- Made of
- A steel frame, sandwich panel walls, stainless steel splash-backs, a non-slip ceramic floor with falls to trapped gullies, a heavy-duty extract canopy with grease filters and fan, gas or electric provision, and washing-up stations.
- Panel core
- Confirmed per unit on request. The UAE Fire & Life Safety Code restricts combustible cores, so ask before you order — especially for accommodation and anywhere with an ignition source. Standard PUF is combustible; a rock wool core is the choice where a fire rating matters.
- How it works
- Extract is the part that decides whether the kitchen is usable. Cooking at volume in a sealed insulated box without a proper canopy and make-up air is unworkable - and it is the item most often cut to save money.
- Where it is the wrong choice
- Not for a kitchen serving a public venue without checking the local authority food-premises requirements first: those set the finishes, the extract and the wash provision, and retrofitting to meet them costs more than building to them. Not with gas unless the gas installation and its certification are part of the order.
- Sold by
- The unit, excluding 5% VAT. Built to size on request.
- Delivery
- All 7 Emirates from our own yard. Sharjah and the northern emirates are usually same day on stocked lines; the rest of the country is one to three working days. The delivery charge depends on the emirate, the load and the offloading, and is confirmed in writing on the quotation rather than guessed at here.
- Installation
- Supply only, or supplied and installed by our own crew rather than a subcontractor. Installation is quoted with the goods once we have the site conditions and the access, and is shown as its own line on the quotation.
